Plastic day 2011 - Transparant Plastics

On the basis of case studies provided by various museums, SBMK and RCE organise since 2006 workshops on synthetic materials. The materials dealt with so far have included: glassfiber-reinforced polyesters (GRP) and polyurethane (PUR), which involves both hard foam and flexible foam: (PURester and PURether), and polyurethane rubber (PURrubber), transparent plastics, nylon and rubber. Specialists from within the Netherlands and abroad, from both the art world and the business world, contributed to these workshops.
